Our 3M Hookit Purple Finishing Film Abrasive Discs 260L are built onto a durable film backing that adds conformability, and our specially formulated coating preserves the life of the aluminum oxide mineral. The 260L discs are ideal for leveling orange peel, dust nibs or paint runs in all types of automotive paint, gel coat and clear coat. The 3M Hookit Purple Finishing Film Abrasive Discs are used for scuffing blend areas prior to painting and removing defects prior to paint finishing. The new discs are much faster and easier to use than scuffing pads. The discs produce fewer pigtails during any application and reduce deep scratches, comebacks and rework, saving time and money in collision repair operations. **Q: Can I use to prevent rubber from burnouts?**
A: Hi Rico! Thank you for your question. No, the 3M 06656 Automotive Refinish Masking Tape would not be the appropriate product for your application.

**Q: can you put this tape directly onto vehicle? will it leave residue?**
A: Well, I'm not a paint guy, but I used it to mask off trim and other bits so I could wax my vehicle. This tape didn't leave any residue. Other tapes I have tried did leave adhesive on the vehicle. This is why I purchased this tape.

A: My order was just 1 roll.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is night and day difference to basic blue painters tape I was getting at Home Depot. This stuff actually stays adhered very well but still leaves no residue when removing. And I am no longer having the issue of paint "creeping" under the edge of tape. This gives me clean line. Worth the additional cost. 3M almost never disappoints.
