Someone using this rope day before yesterday fell 12 feet when the part of the rope that is hidden under the shrink-wrapped protector at the top broke, because it had rotted. This was not visible as it was hidden by the black shrink-wrap. This has been a great rope, but the person who fell broke both arms and some facial injuries, and could have suffered much worse injury.
