**Q: will this work to get internet to my computer by attatching it to a coax port on the wall then running ethernet from the adapter to my computer?**
A: I believe it only works Coax - Ethernet - Coax. The biggest problem you’ll have is the frequency range in which these operate. They are not designed to handle large bandwidth HD signals, this may effect your up/down speed. (According to company’s tech support)

**Q: Will these baluns pass a DC voltage? Specifically, I'd like to use a power inserter (indoors) to power a pre-amp (outdoors) over a cat6 connection.**
A: I am not sure about that configuration but I would think that they would pass the voltage.

**Q: Does anyone know if this only uses one of the twisted pairs in the cable?**
A: It supposes that yes, because the Coax cable has the equivalent to 1 pair, the internal wire and the shield.

**Q: Are these baluns bi-directional? I would like to use them to extend the broadband internet signal another location accessible by cat 5e only.**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Check the UTP distance before use

According with my experience, this product works perfect. I installed them in a 20 ft UTP feeder (between the telecom distribution box and the UTP outlet) and works as expected. I have a digital CATV service, with HD channels, they work as same as I was using the RG-cable. Really recommend, only an advice: check the UTP's distance before use, the specs don't include any distance restriction, however it's recommended to use in short distances becuase the interference over UTP cables for this kind of signals.

it worked. i needed to get a Spectrum cable signal from my server room to an office. It would have cost me $300 to have a coax line run but since I already had 4 ethernet runs, I thought I would try leveraging them. I used these adapters and they worked as stated. You do lose more signal strength but it served its purpose.
