I'm a poetry student and for a final project we had to reimagine one of our own written works into something new, so I turned one of my essays on alcohol into a snow globe. TerraSlate was perfect for the job. I wanted the illusion of being "regular" printer paper inside a liquor bottle, as opposed to, say, lined paper from a waterproof notebook. I also love that you can print on it, rather than having to buy a waterproof pen and hand-write on it. Just make sure you use a laser or laserjet printer (aka Xerox machine style), NOT inkjet.My first idea for this project was cutting up laminated paper. But I realized the seal would likely break. TerraSlate was a much more elegant solution. I love that you can cut it and it is still waterproof. Over a month later and it's still holding up with no signs of deteriorating. It's readable, looks great when printed and cut, and the illusion is perfect. My classmates were fooled! Before they knew it was waterproof paper, they asked if somehow liquor was preserving the paper. The end result looks exactly how I wanted it, without having to compromise on aesthetic.The only issue is the price. It's not cheap.
