A: You should contact the company regarding your radiation, uranium question.  I just know that this sea salt has a very low lead content which is 25 ppb.  This company also tests for microplastics.

**Q: How does this salt compare to jacobsen's kosher salt and maldon salt? how does jacobsen's kosher salt compare to maldon?**
A: There’s no comparison. Maldon Sea Salt tests for very high lead levels (700 ppb), while Jacobsen Sea Salt has acceptably low levels of lead (25 ppb) according to the Lead Safe Mama who says less than 50 ppb is acceptable.

**Q: Four ounces of salt with shipping weight of 3.2 ounces, which is it?**
A: Definitely 4 ounces. Well worth it's money, too.

**Q: Will the size of the salt work in a salt grinder?**
A: The grain of this salt is actually smaller than salts intended for grinder use.  Yes, it will work.  Its smaller size is perfect for sprinkling on your food as is, however.  I use it by pinching it out of a salt cellar.

We watched a video on YouTube about this company and how they make the salt. They explained just how high quality it is and what it's used for. Despite eating in fine restaurants across the globe, we never thought of using finishing salt on our own cooking - until finding this. Now there is a bamboo salt holder on the counter next to the stove. Steak, vegetables, eggs - it all gets a pinch (or more) of the finishing salt just prior to serving - and it is fantastic. One thing to note about this particular finishing salt is the high quality. If you find the video I mentioned, you'll see they put a lot of thought and effort into finding just the right location for the perfect sea water intake to make the salt. It really shows when compared to other similar salts. We purchased a different brand from a local high-end cooking store and the quality didn't come close to this from Jacobson. Do yourself a favor and get some. Your tastebuds will thank you.
