However, if you shut down the vehicle without the key fob near, you will not be able to restart the vehicle. This happened to me..... I went with my boyfriend to his work, he had the keyfob in his pocket. He came out the vehicle, I jumped into the driver seat and drove home without any issues. Got home, shut off the vehicle.
