It has great specifications and it is laid out well. It helped me get my transmission rebuilt and operating flawlessly. The step by step instructions on every aspect of the rebuild are wonderful. Mine was a stock rebuild, this book helped immensely on set up. Once done it shifts at the right shift points, correct pressures, and the transmission drives wonderfully.

This is a good guide book on the 727.  This is not a thorough factory rebuild manual though. I found the book to be 98% accurate in the tear downs I've been a part of.  It explains the history of the 727, some of the tools involved in the rebuild, some variations between car and truck versions of the transmission, and then a good general overview of teardown and rebuild.  Again, you will have to be prepared to improvise if your particular transmission has something slightly different in it, but all in all, this has been an invaluable reference tool.
