### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quick and hearty

I used to periodically get McCann’s steel cut oats which are good, but time consuming to make. I discovered Coach’s from a local restaurant that serves them (with full disclosure on their menu). Really liked them so bought these. Faster to make than McCann’s, still has more “bite” and texture than envelope or cylinder box oatmeal, but a little more tender than McCanns. (Or maybe I was too impatient and didn’t cook the McCanns long enough.) Hearty enough to hold you until lunchtime, I dress it up like other oatmeals, a little brown sugar or maple syrup, love it with chopped walnuts or pecans. They are my go-to cereal now, won’t eat any other type. Highly recommend.

I never cared for the texture of oatmeal but then I had "real" oatmeal and discovered that it's the instant stuff I hate.  So I started buying and eating oatmeal.  Then I tried a toasted oatmeal and liked the flavor more.  I couldn't find it locally at a reasonable price so I searched online and discovered Coach's Oats. I love the taste and the texture.  And it is almost instant when fixed in the microwave, you microwave for three minutes.  I premeasure a serving into snack size zip bags, add brown sugar and cinnamon and take a week's supply to work with me.  Its a fast, easy, filling and very tasty and healthy breakfast.  One word of caution though:  Make sure your bowl is WAY bigger than you would think you need.  The oatmeal bubbles up and you will have a mess to clean in the microwave if you don't.It's ideal for camping, too, especially if you premeasure and add your sugar or whatever in the zip bag before you go.  It takes 5 minutes to cook on the stove.  I have bought multiple bags of this to share with the oatmeal lovers in my circle of friends and family.  I've created several converts.

Have tried several other steel cut oatmeal brands and Coach's is by far the best!  The oats are cut fine enough that they absorb the water easily and are easily digestible but large enough that they provide the fiber/roughage that I need in my diet.  I am so glad that Amazon sells it as it is difficult to find in the markets.  Used to be able to find it at a big box store but they no longer carry it.
