With a POE camera, you won't need your 12v plug - the Cudy POE injector will provide the power for the camera through the ethernet cable. **Q: Can this device connect to a poe nvr on its input? basically, i need more power than my nvr can provide.** A: You can not use this to add input power to a nvr however, you can use it to power the end of line devise. **Q: Does this work with hikvision ds2cd2042wd-i camera?** A: Yes it will **Q: I am using this with a reolink rlc410 poe camera. looking at the spwcs it should work fine, but when i plug in the the ethernet cable it doesnt work.** A: I'm using this injector to power a Reolink RLC-423, over roughly 10m / 30' of shielded cat6 cable, and it works great.
