Review: Best inexpensive 30W injector I could find - I was installing a new PTZ security camera in my house and decided that running it via PoE was the best option to avoid having to run an extension cord through my attic. The camera requires 30W of power (due to the PTZ function) and this was the best rated, lowest cost option I found out there. It looks like several brands are selling the same injector as the photos look identical to this one but as Cudy has a range of PoE related products I decided to go with them. It has worked great for the last week. It is driving the camera through about 70' of cable (60' of it being Cat-6 and 10', inside of a wall, of 15 year old Cat-5e). No issues at all. There are no link or activity lights on the injector but there is a status light on it that goes green when it has power and changes to red when it is providing power to a device.

**Q: I wish to use this with an amcrest ip4m-1053e camera which is poe+ but also has 12v dc plug. what splitter is required (or possible with no splitter)?**
A: The whole point of POE is to supply data and power in a single cable.  With a POE camera, you won't need your 12v plug - the Cudy POE injector will provide the power for the camera through the ethernet cable.

**Q: Can this device connect to a poe nvr on its input?  basically, i need more power than my nvr can provide.**
A: You can not use this to add input power to a nvr however,  you can use it to power the end of line devise.

**Q: Does this work with hikvision ds2cd2042wd-i camera?**
A: Yes it will

**Q: I am using this with a reolink rlc410 poe camera. looking at the spwcs it should work fine, but when i plug in the the ethernet cable it doesnt work.**
A: I'm using this injector to power a Reolink RLC-423, over roughly 10m / 30' of shielded cat6 cable, and it works great.
How long is your cable run, and are you using cat5e or cat6 (or higher) ?
