During winter storage I sprayed the brass head with WD40 to limit any corrosions from my city & well water **Q: Will this work well with a well?** A: I used it with my well, but it has a 50psi limiter in it. It doesn't matter a are literally fell off, this sprinkler is cheaply made not worth it plus amazons warranty is only for 30 days. I ordered 3 of them and treat the 2 left with kid gloves. These only look good but not worth the money. Would stay away from these and be wary of any item that only has a 30 day warranty. This really allows you to dial in the location where you want to irrigate. I like that everything is made of high quality durable metal, the wheels are hard plastic, not cheap at all. I think this will last a long time. I have fairly low water pressure, and it works for my small yard. Higher water pressure would work for a larger yard. You can pull the hose a bit to gently coax it into place. It was ready right out of the box. Just have to understand how to use it. Basically, you just move to clips in an arc around the center of the spigot. This limits the movement of the spigot, and it bounces it back to the first clip when it hits the second one. This is what that ever so melodic summer click-click-click sounds is from. This is is the kind of sprinkler that you want to sit out on a hot summers day and drink a beer while listening to it melodically drone in the background gently putting you to sleep.
