The color is really a gorgeous, deep teal. This is a color that is a little more blue than green, but still a dark, lush version of turquoise. The texture of the micro-suede is soft, and the material is pretty durable (I've been using it for over a year). I use this on a pillow that I use as an armrest at work. I try not to spill anything, but accidents happen. My favorite thing about the micro-suede material is that it wipes clean easily.A few long threads were snipped off near the hidden zipper. I tried to make it fit, and while I could get the other pillow inside the cover, the final product looked awkward, bulky and there was way too much strain on the seams. I would suggest ordering a size larger than the one you think you need. Since I purchased the pillows for my sofa and am having company for Thanksgiving, I have placed the covers on smaller pillows that work ok.
