Review: Budget pedal that performs way above its price point. - This is a great pedal. The EQ helps scoop out my mids so the fuzz pedal doesn't make everything muddy sounding. Then on its own it packs a punch. This is a great budget pedal.
Review: Love this distortion pedal. - I have looked at all of the Metal distortion pedals on the market. This Ultra Metal pedal works great. It does have the background white noise if you turn the level and gain all the way up, but unless you want to spend $150 on a pedal they all have the same noise. Dial it back a bit and the noise goes away and leaves you with a hard and heavy sound. I checked YouTube and looked at the videos comparing this pedal to its competitors and found that this pedal is as good as ones twice the price. It gives my guitar the exact sound I wanted and the high, mid, and low dials let you tweak it until you get the sound you are looking for. This pedal is perfect for the beginner the intermediate and the seasoned player. If you are a professional guitar player and need one with studio or stage quality sound then obviously you will need to drop a large stack of money and get something better. But if you are not a professional then this unit is perfect for practicing by yourself or with a band. In other words, if you are Dave Mustaine or Tony Iommi you will want the best made, but if you are just a regular guy or gal that enjoys playing metal this one pedal works GREAT.

**Q: Can i paint my house with this ?**
A: Only if your painting it dark brown

**Q: Getting an amp and a this as a gift, for someone who only has an electric guitar but no amp!  What kind of cables/anything else?**
A: You'll need at least two cables. One from the guitar to the pedal, and another one from the pedal to the amp. But, if the amp has an "Effects Loop" channel, he'll need a third cable to use it. (However, it is not necessary to use the channel, if it does have one.) Two 10' cables would cover most needs. Be sure to get "instrument" cables, and not "speaker" cables, as they can look identical. You'll want what's usually referred to as a "1/4in. Mono Phone Plug" on the ends of the cables.If you need more advice, just ask. It would help to know what kind/size of amp you want to get.

**Q: Will this get the same effect as a tube screamer?**
A: No it won't. Better to buy a tube screamer for that. If you are on a budget the Joyo vintage overdrive will get you closer than this one.

**Q: that pretty boy at the guitar center was saying this behringer wont sound like onea them vintage Italian wahs from the 60s, is that true??**
A: I think that guy was hitting on you, this wah has a lot of buttons and knobs to tweak to get your preference, for the price, you can't beat it.

I have looked at all of the Metal distortion pedals on the market. This Ultra Metal pedal works great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Excellent Introductory Pedal.

As someone who is just learning how to play the electric guitar I was getting frustrated by not being able to get that "metal crunch" that I wanted from my small practice amp. I looked up different pedals on Amazon and some other sites and came across the Behringer UM300 Ultra Metal Pedal and after reading some reviews and checking out some video demos of it in action on YouTube I decided to give it a shot. Personally I am very happy with this pedal and the results I have received. It combined the functionality of two of Behringer's other pedals (The heavy metal and super metal if my memory serves correctly)so you have control of the high, mid-range and low range frequencies which gives you a wide range of different metal style sounds to shape your sound with. This is a good low cost option for anyone like myself who is learning to play and isn't looking to dumping a truckload of money into expensive equipment until your skills get better with the instrument. One thing I would recommend however is getting the DC adapter as these pedals eat batteries quickly.
