Firm enough to saw and drill. Soft enough to do it cleanly. - The Install Bay 89-00-9031 ABS Plastic 12" x 12" x 1/8" was an good purchase. The ABS plastic square was better than expected. It was not exactly 12" x 12". It actually was 11 13/16" x 11 13/16" on the one I received, but it was not an issue for me. The square looks pretty good, and it is perfect for my needs. The square was textured very nicely on one side. The other side is shiny smooth. I assume the smooth side is considered the back of the square. And, the textured side is considered the front of it. But, you can use either side as the front for your needs. The thickness was very good. I was concerned with it being not firm enough and too soft, but it was actually very firm. The material is hard enough to cut with a saw, but soft enough so the plastic is not brittle when cut to chip crumbs all over. I recommend this ABS plastic square. The textured side is really nice. The smooth side may contain scuffs or scratches if you are hoping for a perfect shiny smooth side. The thickness is very good and nice and firm. It is soft enough to saw or drill cleanly. In fact, I just placed another order to use on my next project. Beware however that the panel I received was slightly under 12 inches.
