I didn't use the pads that came with it but the buffer performed great. Variable speed is easy to change while using and the DA action is smooth. Works nice on curved surfaces like hoods and bumper covers where it is easy to cut the paint with a high speed wheel. Is quieter than others I've used and even comes with a nice case. Just keep your box just in case something is wrong with light. If you don't have the box you cannot exchange or return. I pulled both headlight assemblies and put the working headlights ballast on the headlight that wasn't working and it worked so I am 1,000% sure it's this junk ballast that is barely 60 days old. And it's past the return window so I guess I get to buy another one. What a waste of money. Don't buy this brand. Update: bought two more in June and got around to finally installing them late August. It's September 12th and my drivers side headlight is already out.
