Digitally remastered reissue of their 1971 & second album that is out of print in the US. Features the original notorious cover art & all 10 of the original tracks including 'Your Popps Don't Mind', 'Rosie Had Everything Planned' and 'Coming Home to See You'. Universal. Review: Classic Supertramp! - Great music from a great band! Maybe not as popular as Breakfast In America, but still enjoyable as an earlier work from Supertramp. Review: Hidden Gem - This album is a hidden gem. The more I listen to it to more I fall in love with it.

start of the classic supertramp sound!
It's too bad that this album and their debut have been disregarded when they became more successful. Both are excellent Supertramp "starters". Bit this album is the beginning of the "classic" Supertramp sound that's captured fans all over the world. If "Supertramp" was Roger Hodgson's go at the mike, than this is Rick Davies turn to clearly show what he's got to offer us. Unlike their debut, this album is more upbeat, rock-oriented atmosphere, and also has a mixture of different musical styles. "Your Poppa Don't Mind" "Remember" and "Potter" all have the rock/jazz/blues hybrid to them, while songs like "Travelled" and "Aries" tend to have the sad mood from the first album, and all the other songs songs have pretty much everything inbetween. Overall it's not a bad album, weak in some spots though, especially "Rosie Had Everything Planned" seems a little pointless. But don't let that stop you from getting this album! It's an intro to the Supertramp "sound" and I recommend it highly as well their first!

Classic Supertramp
This album has all the best elements you might expect from the group. While it has no top 40 type hit material, it definitely fulfills the requirements in my book for getting the highest rating. The songs are well written and the performance of each band member is outstanding. I would rate nearly every Supertramp album with a four or five star rating, but this one is one of my favorites. My list would go like this: #1) Breakfast in America #2) Even in the Quietest Moments #3) Crime of the Century #4) Indelibly Stamped #5) Famous Last Words #6) Supertramp #7) Crisis? What Crisis? and all others after that...

Second effort better than the first (barely)
I have most of the Supertramp catalog so I decided to go ahead and get this CD along with Supertramp. I have never heard either of these before and after giving them a listen I find it absolutely amazing that the third effort produced Crime Of The Century. If you like the sound of Crimes Of The Century and later efforts there is not going to be very much to like on this album. There are only hints of the greatness to come, and those are few and far between. The previous reviews on this album are split, so if you disagree that is fine. If you are unfamilar with this album I do not recommend spending your money on it.

Gotta Love The Cover
This was there second effort and a good one at that. I used to frequent a couple of LP stores back in the day that I new had a lot of imports. They were playing this when I walked in and it hit the spot. Only been out a bout a week and I picked it up right then and there. Been a fan ever since.
