Review: I’d buy again in a heartbeat - Great value. It really does have some power behind it. I use it in my fountain outside. Size & water flowis almost too powerful for it (if everything doesn’t getcoated with algae). It’s turned all the way down. It has been a great little pump. I installed it months ago, it sits directly in the Florida sun, so this water fountain will run low daily, and will build up with algae, so what I’m saying is it basically takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Install installation was a breeze. I’ll be assuming that water cleaning in a indoor fish tank would be a piece of cake for this thing. I can’t use bleach or anything in this water fountain as I have everything swooping down for a drink.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: is there a flow chart for differences in head pressure?**
A: the smaller the restriction, the harder the pump will work thus it will overheat. These are not magnetic drives and will not adapt to flow reduction like a brew (aka Riptide) pump. Keep an eye on the heat generated (run in cooler or 5 gal bucket) w/return flow and take water temps over an hour or two. Just restricting the flow will NOT push farther but may make it overheat, use more amps, and then burnout (see user pics of fried extension cords)

**Q: What is the pipe thread size of the discharge side of the pump?**
A: It’s actually 0.75 inch thread. I just measured.

**Q: What is the thread size that the outlet nozzles screw into? I want to screw a threaded pvc fitting into the pump and need the female thread size.**
A: It is a 1/2" thread, not 3/4".

**Q: Does this have auto shut off?**
A: Auto shutoff for what purpose? Two possibilities would be: A timer would switch it ff and on at prearranged times. For a malfunction due to no water going through, you will ideally want to power it through a ground fault interrupt circuit so in the event the water source accidentally runs dry the pump will not burn out.

Great pond pump.

Used this water pump for about two weeks and it was fine till it started making a strange vibration noise, then it just stopped working. I have had other pumps on this fountain and they usually last much longer I know how to clean and take care of the fountain . Not my fault! Would not recommend this pump. After contacting seller they recommended cleaning the into pump, which worked so I changed my mind about this pump.
