## Overview

This set of four CTS 500K audio taper potentiometers is engineered for USA-made electric guitars, featuring a 3/8" threaded bushing and aluminum shafts for smooth, precise control. Each pot comes complete with nuts and washers for easy installation, delivering reliable, consistent tone and volume adjustments with ±10% tolerance.

## Description

4X (Set of Four) 500K full size, short/split, knurled shaft, audio taper potentiometers. Aluminum bushing and shaft. 15% Tolerance. Each pot comes with nut, lock & dress washer. These are short-shaft pots (threaded bushing is 3/8" tall X 3/8" diameter), sized for USA-made guitars. The potentiometers are manufactured for TAOT by CTS. These pots are equivalent to the 500K pots distributed by Allparts as part # # EP 086 Note: This part is sized for USA-made guitars. If you purchase this for an import guitar, the openings will need to be enlarged to 3/8" diameter. Do not use short shaft pots if your guitar has a control plate. As a general rule Les Paul's made before 1977 will use short-shaft pots, but please double check before you order as returns are not excepted for this item.

**Q: Will these fit in a 1981 Gibson V?**
A: If only mounted on the pick guard, yes.  If they have to mount on the wood from the back side, the shafts are too short.

**Q: Will these work w a Gibson sg?**
A: These are CTS 500k variable resistance knobs they will be great in your SG  just make sure of the diameter of the shafts before you order them.  I used them in my ES335 with a 0.022 microfarad capacitor and I get great sound.

**Q: would this work with coil tap ? i have the 2015 studio which im changing into the schematic diagram in order to install my lace drop and gain pups.**
A: These are standard 500K pots. You'll need to either use a separate switch or a Push/Pull pot for coil tap wiring. **Q: Are they standard or mini?**
A: Standard size pots- short or low profile shafts. They're split so if your knob is two big you can find a bit of room to make the snug.
