I used the silver for some zebra midges and it worked real well. I went to use the gold wire for some sow bugs and when I pulled the lead wire from the cap the whole spool unwound like it was spring loaded. I had like 15 feet of wire bird nested around the spool, what a mess. I tried untangling it but ended up having to cut a bunch of wire off because it was all knotted up. The wire is fine but beware when you go to use it for the first time, the spool is wrapped tight.
