I have been feeding 10 cats this food for months and have had no health issues. good food. Review: Premium cat food that my cats love - I have three cats, two are 6 years and one is a rescue who’s over 13. The old cat has hyperthyroidism and has a high metabolism. He also has some food allergies and I have to feed him prescription food. I love been feeding him dry food, but as he’s aged he tends to swallow his food whole instead of chewing which results in him throwing up sometimes. After trying BFF at the recommendation of the local pet food store, I now buy it by the case as the price is better via desertcart. All my cats devour this food and tolerate it very well. The consistency of the sauce is thicker than water but not as thick as a heavy stew. The food actually tastes pretty good (yes, I tasted it out of curiosity) even if it is unseasoned. Our little guy loves it. **Q: what is the shelf life for these cans?** A: I haven't reviewed "Grandma's Chicken Soup", just Polynesian BBQ and one of the others. I would guess that the shelf life is typical of canned foods, though. The cases I bought (two different flavors) have "Best By" dates of August 2018. **Q: Has anybody had any luck with their cats losing weight on this? I have a very fat cat who needs to lose weight on grain-free food.** A: Out of all the Weruva flavors, this is my cats favorite. I'm now feeding this, along with some Blue Tastefuls Tuna (and some dry every now and then), to my 23 lb Maine Coon. Like others here, he was placed on a prescription diet for digestive problems and weight loss. He gained 2 lbs on the prescription diet! I believe getting him off the high carb is going to help his weight loss. Talk to a vet about how much to feed each day since it depends on caloric content of the food you're feeding. Total calories vary with each variety of canned food and you can find the total calories per can by checking the label for kcal/can. Ideally, my cat needs to consume 280 calories a day to get to, and maintain, a healthy weight. **Q: does the 5 oz can have a pop-top lid or do i need a can opener?** A: it's a pop top lid. you don't need a can opener for any of their food. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My cats love it *by R***T on August 12, 2026* My cats love gravy based food and they love this stuff.
