Plenty of sticky material on the palms to hold onto the abalone gauge and pry bar without any slippage. Very happy with my purchase, especially considering the affordable price. They fit tight and and snug ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice Gloves, but... *by J***R on January 25, 2014* The gloves fit well, but, the product description says that the seams are glued and sewn to resist water entry. The velcro wrist straps keep the water out, but, the seams on all of the fingers let water in freely, albeit slowly. These are not waterproof. After realizing this, I bought some Aquaseal, turned the gloves inside out, and painted all of the inside seams so that they are now truly waterproof, not just "water resistant." I understand how a wetsuit works. Water comes in and stays there, your body warms the trapped water, and you stay warm. I use my gloves for kayaking in winter weather on Lake Superior (January/February), so I don't want water in my gloves. Even my Wal-Mart neoprene fishing gloves were more water resistant than these.
