## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this manual defrost**
A: No.  A built-in fan device keeps my freezer at at a constant 18 degrees and a quiet alarm goes off if the door is not fully closed.

**Q: does the liebherr GN 1066 have an alarm when door left open**
A: Yes after about a minute and my wife has encountered it!  The alarm goes quiet when the door is closed again.

**Q: Is the freezer suitable to use in a garage?**
A: I cannot think of any reason that it could not be used in a garage although if the alarm goes off (indicating an increase in temperature following loading too much fresh food) you would only hear it if you are in the garage.  If your garage supply is on its own trip and some other piece of equipment (e.g. a lawn mower) causes the trip to switch, the freezer would go off too.  Otherwise it should be ok.

**Q: Do you take old fridge away**
A: Not in this case.  Some suppliers will take the old freezer away for a payment but we did not choose this option.  I believe that you can take the old one to Curry's for recycling or to your local recycling centre but that is not a trivial task!
