The smaller upper container is about 92mm across, holds maximum 1 cup and that's filled to the brim. The lower larger container is about 96mm across, holds about 1 1/4 cup. The middle brown divider is somewhat softer plastic and flexible and creates a flush seal. I added some cold tap water in the lower container to see if it was leak proof, and to my surprise it was. Not sure I would trust it with soup though, but that's just my opinion. The snap shut hinges feel a little delicate and it won't snap shut unless all the pieces fit just right. Which means the hinges won't close if you overfill it. But the price was good (about $11) and it's super cute.
