Review: Nice copper cable - Great 'real copper' cable. I bought this product to use as dc power cord on my 10m band mobile radio transceivers. I replace most of the original 'smaller guage' cable for the radios to transfer the 13.8v with minimum voltage ⚡ drop. Works fantastic. I bonded both cables together to extend power cord. Review: Good cable, measured at 10 AWG - I measure the area of the conductor as about 6.5 mm**2 (including space between strands), which corresponds to 10 AWG. I wanted to get it into the screw terminals on a Neutrik speakON (only really intended for 12 AWG, but I have the newer variant that leaves a bit more room). A 10 AWG ferrule would not fit into the terminal, so I used a 12 AWG one, and had great difficulty getting the wire in. I measured the internal diameter of the 12 AWG ferrule at 2.87 mm => 6.5 mm**2 area. That seems larger than expected, but I think these ferrules leave some extra room, to make it easier to get the wire in.

**Q: Is this 100% copper or copper clad aluminum?**
A: 100% Pure Copper

**Q: Does it work for a 48v solar system?**
A: This wire handles more than 40 amps for me (more than 24 hours continuous) without getting above room temperature. The insulation rating is 60 volts, I'm sure it would work fine for a 48 volt system, but be aware the insulation is NOT rated for outdoor use and will degrade quickly in ultraviolet light (i.e. sunlight).

**Q: Is this 50 feet of red and 50 feet of black wire and not 25 feet of both?**
A: This product is 50ft of red and 50ft of black bonded together by a transparent pvc.

**Q: Is this aluminium copper clad wire or solid copper?**
A: It's copper, not CCA. Standed, not solid.
