And because they encase your arms so well, they stay in place. They're lined and don't have a "fine" feel between the fingers, i.e. if you like thin gloves, these may feel thick. They have a mostly matte finish. It could almost be described as a semi gloss. They do have the smell that everyone else is talking about. I turned the sleep portion inside out and sprayed them lightly with Febreze. I have them hanging on a hanger and will leave them that way until my event. The upper arm accommodated a 12 1/2 inch circumference. They are nice and long and go well above the elbow. I have larger hands but they do fit. You do have to put them on gently if your hands are large because they are not made for large hands. They are made for medium size hands. But overall, for the fact that I’m wearing them one time, they will work just fine. I would recommend this product for a single wear or infrequent wear given that it does not seem to be an incredibly durable product.
