Chuck the plug wires - Bolted right up no adjustments necessary except the wiring of the plug was incorrect. Compared it to my original and it works great. I tried adjusting the carb but it seemed like it was already close to specs from the factory. After scratching my head and doing some research, I found that these carburetors have an idle valve screwed in on the passenger side. So I figured I’d swap the idle valve from the old carb and that’s when I realized the round 4 pin connector on the new carburetor was pinned incorrectly, causing the idle valve to shut off after a minute. I relocated the pins to the proper positions by using the connector on the old carb as a reference and after that the truck ran smoothly.
