I try really hard but then I see something on Amazon that I cant live without. In my defense, if you have read my other reviews then you know the stuff I buy is ALL awesome stuff that EVERY household needs.So as far as the envelopes, they are very sturdy. I mean non - rippable, that's a word right? It's the same material that the post office uses on the Express packages. Each envelope has a place on front to list what your saving for such as Lights, Amazon, Mortgage, phone, Amazon, food, car, kids, Amazon, etc. and on the other side is a list format so you know exactly what's in there or not in there.The only thing I would wish for is a way to secure each envelope. There is a flap but that its. I use a rubber band for now but plan to apply a velcro strip on each one soon. (Ps Amazon has some great tape like velcro strips. ) And yes they are sturdy enough to spend the time, effort & expense in the velcro 'cuz these WILL be useful for years to come. Alas.The clear envelope is a bit tight.Despite the cons, I would get these again. They have the consistency of American paper currency with a wax coating of some sort over the top, and they do not tear easily. I've been half scared I would damage them trying to get them back in the clear envelope, but they're hanging tough.I am very happy with this purchase.
