Do not remove protective face covering or expose double sided on the rear unless you are happy to install it and keep it. Offer it up into place and decide if you are happy before doing that. (Note: Customer is fully aware that distortion can potentially be caused from short distances, and by not affixing to flat, even surfaces, that this is acrylic and therefor that this product is not rigid like glass mirrors) The 3M 1163 will work on most surfaces but is not guaranteed - As good as glass when completely flat although acrylic is flexible so harder to get completely flat, but safer as it will not shatter and is a lot harder to break than glass. Just peel the backing film off the mirror and stick it on. It does need a flat surface or the reflection is distorted. **Q: Can it be attached by 4 screws in each corner (without splitting the acrylic) - instead of using dble sided tape to make extra secure ?** A: I used the double sided tape and it was very secure. It worked really well and looks amazing. I haven't been able to drive it yet but it certainly feels very strong adhesion. So far very pleased. Make sure to follow instructions and use the cleaning pad and wait to dry before installation. Gentle hair dryer would be worth using to speed things up. I took the door off and placed on flat table to make sure the mirror is well adhered under load overnight. ### ⭐ Do not buy! *by K***R on 11 May 2024* The reflection is distorted. No matter how well or flat you fix it. It doesn’t work. It has ruined my wardrobe door removing it. You do not know that it is distorted until you have watched it as it states in institutions do not remove plastic film until in place. It has been a very expensive mistake.
