I had been looking for a thawing tray for meat and vegetables. I also like the rating for the Gemitto Defrosting Tray. Picture is a single hamburger patty that I put on the tray when I got home because I usually run out most mornings without laying something out to thaw. It took it 52 minutes because it was frozen hard. I did put Cling Wrap on the board, didn't use any water in tray. I let the burger thaw while I was getting ready for the next day. Was amazed at how it work, and the burger tasted better to me. I like that it came with the cover because I am very cautions of something floating in the air. The bonus items were a plus, thou I didn't received the silicone brush. It was very easy to clean with dish liquid. Can't want to use it on other meats and vegetables. Delivery was on the day that I was given by Amazon. I would definitely give this as a gift. Item contained items described. I bought this because our son-in-law has one and I really liked how quickly it thaws meat. He bought a different brand, but I chose this one because of the “extras” that come with it. The tray that you can put warm water in beneath the actual thawing board feels a bit hard plastic flimsy. It is a good bonus to have to put hot water in to thaw meat more quickly. So far it has held up without chipping or breaking. The actual thawing board seems pretty sturdy and holds medium portions of meat. If you are looking for larger cuts of meat, I would recommend looking fir a larger surface area board by another brand. It is pretty easy to clean. The fly cover is a bonus that will be used in the summer months when flies are more prevalent. It feels pretty cheap and flimsy though. It is pretty large and will cover a medium to large plate. The stainless steel bar is a bonus, but I am not completely sure if it serves its purpose. The stainless bar holder came broken in half so we simply threw it out as it was more hassle to return it and we just used a bar soap holder that we already had. Overall I am moderately happy with this purchase. It does what it was designed to do, but as for durability time will tell. It mostly feels flimsy and cheap.UPDATE:We have owned this meat thawing board now for quite a while. I am happy to report that it indeed has withstood moderate use and has passed the test of time. The steel bar does seem to work at removing prepping odor from your hands quite effectively.
