Definitely a time saver VS using ordinary sponge! - First off this is my first time ever doing any kind of Faux painting. I originally purchased a bag of sponges and this roller sponge because I wasn’t sure which one would work better. Well to sum it up I ended up using this roller sponge because the ceiling are the higher ones and I was able to put an extension on the roller. Overall I have to say that I’m extremely pleased because just the time alone it saved me vs using just a regular sponge. I cleaned the sponge and it still has life to it for more future projects. Great product at a decent price. Review: Great roller for Venetian - For Venetian plaster, it leaves a unique patter depending on the various ways you roll, is a one time use after the job is done unless you’re using oil or latex paint ## Features - Lightly load roller and working in sections, randomly roll product over the surface in all directions - Use trowel to knock-down texture while still wet by gently pulling across the surface, holding the trowel at a very low angle - 6-Inch natural sea-sponge roller ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000I1QGO0 | | Best Sellers Rank | #426,927 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #645 in House Paint Rollers | | Brand | Modern Masters | | Brand Name | Modern Masters | | Color | Natural Sea Sponge | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 175 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00740774997839 | | Included Components | Paint Roller | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Type Name | Sponge Mini Roller | | Manufacturer | Modern Masters | | Material | Sponge | | Material Type | Sponge | | Model Name | SS1030 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Durable | | Package Quantity | 1 | | Special Feature | Durable | | Surface Recommendation | Stone | | UPC | 740774997839 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Modern Masters - **Color:** Natural Sea Sponge - **Included Components:** Paint Roller - **Item Package Quantity:** 1 - **Item Weight:** 0.03 Kilograms - **Material:** Sponge - **Model Name:** SS1030 - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Painting - **Special Feature:** Durable - **Surface Recommendation:** Stone ## Images ![Modern Masters Natural Sea Sponge Mini Roller - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61k79nL+yaL.jpg) ![Modern Masters Natural Sea Sponge Mini Roller - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Dx1TmKy7L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product! Definitely a time saver VS using ordinary sponge! *by B***A on March 20, 2021* First off this is my first time ever doing any kind of Faux painting. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great roller for Venetian *by N***K on May 11, 2021* For Venetian plaster, it leaves a unique patter depending on the various ways you roll, is a one time use after the job is done unless you’re using oil or latex paint ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Misread description --- too small to use *by C***S on August 2, 2013* This is in no way the manufacturer's responsibility, but I presumed this would fit a full-sized roller. It is not. The title clearly states "mini" but I missed that. LOOKS to be fine quality; I just have no use for it and cannot attest to how well it functions. It was shipped timely and arrived in perfect condition. No complaints at all as to it appearing in every way, shape, and form to be exactly as advertised. Since I cannot affirm its functionality, I cannot give it a full five stars. ## Frequently Bought Together - Modern Masters SS1030 ShimmerStone Natural Sea Sponge Mini Roller - 9" Modern Masters ME652 Metallic Paint Collection Metallic Paint Roller - pt Modern Masters ME651 Metallic Paint Collection Extender For Rolling Additive --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/12389422-modern-masters-natural-sea-sponge-mini-roller](https://www.desertcart.us/products/12389422-modern-masters-natural-sea-sponge-mini-roller) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
