It oversimplifies things and definitely uses examples of relatively compliant children. It doesn’t seem to take into account that there are definitely some strong-willed children out there (like mine) who don’t just say “yes mommy” because you’ve told them to. There are some good principles in here, but more spirited children will require strategies beyond what this book offers. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great guidebook! *by C***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2015* My nephew has 4 kids, the oldest of which is in his last year of school. My nephew grew up an an inconsistent, undisciplined environment, and as a result, he never finished assignments, and therefore, never finished school. After he got married and had a child, he woke up with a start one morning with an urgent sobering thought. What an awesome and important job he had before him! He actually became a changed person at that moment and all of a sudden started devouring every book he could get hold of. He and his wife have used the techniques from Ezzo "On Becoming" books from birth, and the result is, there has never been a nicer set of kids. When they were little (3-8 ish), they visited for a week, and in all that time, I never saw a tear or heard a squabble, or even a discouraging word from or between the kids. They were very loving with their parents and had fun with them. I was praising them with their mother when they were getting ready to go and she said quietly to me "actually, there were 2 spankings upstairs during our stay". I couldn't imagine it.
