I recently had to replace the solenoid on a very old inline Champion valve (an old plastic version) that requires you to disconnect the wires to unscrew the solenoid lest the wires get twisted. I was worried because the old solenoid looks different from the replacement wherein the coil slides over a separate screw-in metal part that seals the valve chamber. The new solenoid works perfectly & now I can easily remove the coil without worrying about twisting the wires. C.K. Review: Works great! - I use this on an Orbit 1” sprinkler valve.
