ProForce Combination Cloth Shin / Instep Guards

Great deal for the price. I use them for bag work and you can definitely feel the impact but it doesn't hurt or cause bruising. Made from soft and comfortable material. Can get a little warm if worn for a long period of time (45 mins+) but that is to be expected if you are getting a good work out :) I have been using them for a month and no wear and tear. They are machine washable and that helps in keeping them clean. The fit is good and it doesn't slide off but there is little sideways movement as I kick the bag. I have to readjust the Guards about every 15 minutes but that has more to do with my kicking style and not a knock on the shin guards. Quite satisfied with the purchase

Awesome shin pads for all combat sports that require shin pads during training. I train 6days a week and these bad boys always get the job done. Great fit, great price, extremely comfy, great for mma amd what I like the most is there light and don't move like most shin guards.Definitely a dope product. Especially if you insist on protecting your shins and being able to train without having to stop to adjust your shin guards every ten seconds like I do. Good product. Used for karate sparring practice, and these always protected me adequately. Lightweight, comfortable, well-fitting, and the encasing fabric never tore or damaged, despite LOTS of abuse. Only two issues with this product: 1) You need to wash them every or every other training session, as they stink up from sweat fairly quickly. Not as bad as some other gear, but enough to wear I stopped keeping them in my gym bag for long periods of time without washing. 2) I am not sure if this was unique to the pair I had, or if all have this problem, but the way the sewing is closed up leaves a sort of bunched up ball of the black fabric on the bottom part (the plantar surface) of the foot, such that it sometimes feels like you're stepping on something. Not bad at first, but after a long session of sparring, its like a "rock in your shoe" type of feeling. I fixed this by cutting out (literally) the bunched up part and gluing the ends together with super glue. It hasn't compromised the pads in any way. Ultimately, I am happy with my purchase, and would recommend these for light to medium contact sparring, as well as general shin protection in other activities.

Can't beat the price on these and they held up through many hours of practice and sparring rounds. After about a year and a half or so I started considering getting new ones since they were starting to lose their form in the foot area. I even washed them in the washing machine a half dozen times or so (just took out the foot pads first) and layed flat to dry. Some guys do like a harder pad over the shin, but this held up just as well as the more expensive brand name shin insteps. (And because there's solid material that shoes around the calf, you don't have to worry about calf straps breaking.)

I used these for a kick boxing class and found the shin guards to work fine, not great. After using the shin guards once the material ripped, but were still functional. As well kicking still really hurts even with these on so keep that in mind. I didn't have an issue with these shin guards slipping like with other shin guards, rather I found that elastic around the foot is too tight and gets to be uncomfortable as time goes on. I do Krav Maga, and the kicks and mats were doing a number on my shins and on the tops of my feet. I finally got sick of having scabs and got these. Very comfortable. I am 5'6", female, 130-135 lbs, and I got the mediums which fit me perfectly. For reference, I wear an 8.5 running shoe (US) and my calves are 14" around at the widest point. These are lightweight and really comfortable. Just enough padding to be protective without being obtrusive. I've been contemplating wearing them even for the ground survival classes, not just the combative classes, sine they wouldn't add that much size to my legs and would protect the tops of my feet from the mat. Very happy with these, and I expect them to last me for quite a while. Would recommend.

I'm a 6' 160 lb male with thin calves and the mediums fit perfectly. I use these for Muay Thai kickboxing. The padding is good, but I don't think they provide as much protection as some of the more expensive, more professional-looking shin guards. I wouldn't want to spar hard with these because they'd probably hurt my opponent too much or even hurt my shin if my opponent checked a hard kick. But they're great for light sparing and bags. They're comfortable, they stay in place, and the price is right. Not sure yet how easy they are to wash (no washing information on the tag, but maybe on the company's website?).
