With a lot of national initiatives on stopping bleeding in response to mass shootings this product is a great deal. The CAT tourniquet the military uses is basically the same thing at a brand name price. The quality of this device is enough to do the job in the unlikely event you need it, so economically it makes sense to me. The key to using this effectively is to apply it as tightly as you can get it with just the Velcro before you snug it up with the windlass until bleeding is controlled.
