Of Course...Very happy with this product..I use it for my Yamaha 411 sousaphone..which is all brass.. The product has a slight "strange oder"..I believe its the patriloum used to make this polish...Once it dry's ..its barely noticable... I would use this in an open room or a vented area..just in case... Mave **Q: Does this help to prevent corrosion?** A: I am not 100% sure, but I do not think it can prevent corrosion. It can polish the brass instruments. **Q: Can I use this stuff in my gold mouthpiece?** A: Hi.. I actually kinda like the polish, I wouldn't use this on a mouth piece.. Its a Lacquer kinda polish, with a Lacquer kinda smell, .. after using it on my horn, the room kinda smells like I just painted something... you should use this "stuff" in a ventilated area.. I have several mouth pieces for my 3 tubas.. I've found over the years .. the best way to clean, sanitize, and get a nice looking polish effect, is to stick the mouth pieces, plus neck, in the dish washer, I also bump up the washer temp setting a notch, just to make sure everything is clean/clean.. I usually wash it with other dishes, so, I'm not running a complete wash cycle just for a couple of mouth pieces. I don't have gold, but the silver, and it looks new after every wash...I suspect the Gold will work the same...do every thing the night before a gig, and everything will be ready and waiting for you when you need it... PLUS, I seem to play better with a freshly clean, shinny mouth piece... Good Luck...
