The professional cameras start at $120 for 3MP, I didn't initially want a 'cheaper' option but I only needed 1 camera and the security company charges $20 for shipping so I decided to try a camera from Amazon. I found this Amcrest camera, placed the the order and got it the next day. The camera is excellent, it ships with all the extras as the professional model (the hex allen wrench, RJ45 sleeve, mounting screws). The picture quality is not quite as crisp as the professional model, you can tell it's more muted and flat, but other than that the cameras are the same. They look the same, mount the same, connect to my NVR the same, have the same IR range. My only concern now is how long it will last, my other cameras have been going for 5 years both inside and out.
