I roll the dough into a cylinder and insert it into the barrel. The plastic handle extension is sturdy, feels comfortable in the hand, and provides more leverage. Metal and isn’t flimsy. Quality made! • It is easy to clean. Smooth edges on the tube, the handles, the press disks and everything else the dough comes i to contact was smooth and made for easy, quick, hand washing. • I bought the blue and it is a gorgeous color. Doesn’t hurt to enjoy looking at the items you’re using in the kitchen, right? Makes it fun when baking. • I followed tips on Pinterest to chill your cookie sheets, don’t use parchment paper, and to make a fairly firm dough. • The recipe for a basic butter cookie dough in the booklet that comes with it was good tasting and enjoyable.
