It is very pretty and somewhat dressy without being too formal. I have a white tablecloth that I use for holidays and company but it is too dressy to leave on all of the time. I was a little afraid that this would look too formal since it does have a bit of a sheen to it but it is perfect. It also seems to resist stains fairly well.
