Review: A great bit of kit - Having used a get cheap sanders, I was keen to get a tool that was cable free and could be attached to a vacuum cleaner. This unit is a good quality build and it works much much better than my cheap units. It can remove a large amount of material, but if tou want to do something delicate, like sanding plaster, you can turn down the speed. Attaching a vacuum cleaner is expensive. You don't get the fitting, but have to buy it separately, either as a single adapter yhat gets attached permanently to the vacuum hose (£18) or a full kit that allows you to just push in a normal vacuum hose (£30). I used this kit on a ceiling, running the sander on slow. No clouds of dust, and the end result was extremely good. Not all dust was captured though. A small sprinkling fell on my shoulder, but this was a very small amount Battery life seemed very good. An hour of sanding used about half a 2ah battery. Overall I think this is the start of a beautiful relationship with this new tool. I have lots of boatwork to do this winter, and being able to work for long periods on batteries is a definitely plus.
