A: These bags have many uses but probably not for powdered spices.  They seal by means of a "sticky" flap.  The flap can be opened and closed several times but anything powdered would probably adhere to the flap.  They are sturdy and can be used for jewelry, beads, buttons, etc.  Cookies, soap,  would be okay.

**Q: Are these 100% biodegradable?**
A: No, they are polypropylene, not cellophane. Cellophane is polycellulose and biodegradable, but these are not cellophane they are polypropylene. Jim the polymer chemist.

**Q: Are these bags recyclable/ eco friendly?**
A: They are not recyclable.

**Q: What is the weight capacity?**
A: Depends on what you are putting in it!  Bags are generally used to protect contents, not for lifting.
