Review: Outstanding product - These are excellent. There are a couple interesting things to note. First, they are approximately the same weight as a can of sardines, but the tin says two servings per can. They have about the same protein content as sardines per can, 15 grams, but they have much more fat - 31 grams as opposed to around 11 for sardines. Part of the reason for the high fat reading may be the large amount of cod liver oil in the can; several tablespoons of lovely, clear oil. There was so much oil that I felt guilty discarding it after eating the livers. Opening the can is a pleasure - two pink, meaty livers, freshly preserved in the oil. Pleasant mild taste. The texture was just like pate, but I could also see the butter comparison. Recommend!

**Q: It's the claimed amount of 0.01% of Omega-3 per serving even worth mentioning?**
A: Pay attention to the mg’s not the percentages. I don’t know what’s going on there

**Q: Is this certified gluten free?**
A: Gluten is a protein in wheat, and is not found in any fish or meat. Cod liver is a fish liver in its own oil. This is an excellent source of vitamin D and Omega 3. Me and my wife take this every day.

**Q: Who provides kosher certification?**
A: Seems very kosher to me.  I just don't know how big the Vaad ha Kashrus of Kehillat hakodesh Denmark Copehnagen is ( translation of the Hebrew.)  .  If they are anyway near as powerful as the Orthodox Union, no one would be using their name in vain on their products, lest they get the pants sued off of them.  I couldn't read the letters inside the Hebrew for as much as I zoomed couldn't see it.  Hope that helps.

A: I have no idea what yours would be.  I bought mine some time ago, but still have a few cans left.  So I just looked.  The expiration date on mine is 12/2022.  And I cannot figure out from their stamped code, when it was made.  These are quite delicious.  I was expecting them to smell and taste awful but they don't.

For other canned fish, I usually drain and discard the olive oil, but I never do that with this cod liver oil because it’s packed with Omega-3. Sometimes, it’s tough to eat the fish oil with a spoon, so I typically mix one can of cod liver with two to three cans of tuna. Another option is to add grated Parmesan cheese to absorb some of the fat. The taste is excellent, and I usually eat one can per week.
