The fabric is so luxurious that I would use it myself.I specifically ordered this for security for our new puppy when picking him up from the breeder. It quickly became his most favorite item in our home. We brought him home on it, bathed him, towel dried and wrapped him in this blanket. He fall fast asleep in my arms.He now drags the blanket across the floor to you if he's tired and wants to snuggle in for a nap. Otherwise it's in his bed and he cuddles it all the time!I would highly recommend this product. I've already ordered a back up blanket to have on hand while one is being washed.
