If you want to Google them, ‘Victoria’ similar to “Pixie” rootstocks. Sam YouGarden **Q: Can it be trained on a fence?** A: Possibly could be trained on fence-all I can say is that ours in its 1st full year in a larger pot than distributed in has 6 large slowly ripening plums on it. The blossom in the spring was very pretty. We are very pleased with our tree. **Q: Will a Victoria plum tree grow in the shade** A: Fruit trees need sunlight to ripen adequately, if the tree is in constant shade it will not produce ripened fruit. If it gets quite a bit of sunlight it should be OK. But best grown in a sheltered position with lots of sunlight. **Q: Can I leave the plumb tree in the container it comes in and does it need water regularly.** A: You need to repot from the original container-however you don't say how big the tree is , how long you have had it and did you not get any instructions with the tree?? All I can advise is repot into a large pot -at least 30cm. across(1ft) and at least 60 cm (2ft depth) in reputable tree and shrub compost.Feed with Q4 vitax or similar in 1st spring and every spring afterwards and place in sun and water daily. Good luck. We have 6 plums in 2nd yr-not quite plum pudding time yet.!! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Arrived early and in very good condition *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 12 May 2026* Arrived early and very healthy thank you can't wait for it to fruit. Would definitely recommend this supplier ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Paperwork not provided *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 15 May 2026* Lovely looking plant and arrived quickly but disappointing that there was no paperwork with it. As it's given as a present, it would have been nice to have it accompanied by a picture and instructions for care. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fast delivery of a healthy looking plant, well packaged *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 12 October 2020* Packaging and plant were in good condition, and plant was exactly as promised in description. It will probably loose leaves over the winter as to be expected. Next year will show the condition though it looks healthy enough to survive the winter. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/120768766-yougarden-victoria-plum-patio-fruit-tree-in-a-5l-pot](https://www.desertcart.us/products/120768766-yougarden-victoria-plum-patio-fruit-tree-in-a-5l-pot) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
