I have a Chihuahua terrier mix and an Australian shepherd and the love this teepee. I initially bought it for shade in our sunny yard but after seeing how much they love it , we set it up in the house too. It fits a large size bed and they really spend a lot of time in it. For small children it will be even more fun it has a window, a pocket and adorable lights. The only thing I was dissatisfied with was the poles, while very easy to assemble, they are sort of flimsy , you may want to use gorilla tape to reinforce the connections if you have very active kids or dogs.
