It is very comfortable. My daughter has a bunk bed with a memory foam mattress on top and this mattress on the bottom for the futon. She says it is just as comfortable as the memory foam mattress. The only thing I would say to someone is that when it is delivered, try to have someone there with you to help unpack the box and get it set up. The mattress is really heavy and is tough to handle with just one person.
