Use a sharp knife to cut small pieces If you do that the skin will remain on If you try and break pieces off and the treats have not been refrigerated the skin can peel off. The only negative reviews I found were about these treats being too rough on smaller dogs and their digestive system. So I went ahead and wrote Plato's to inquire and they kindly responded with recommendation to split these treats up but also to check out their other treats for smaller dogs.
