The Dual Docking Charger is the SBC200 (for two SB900A batteries at the same time. The SBC800 charges 8 batteries. And there is a rack mount charger that does 8 batteries: the SBRC. **Q: Will this charge shure Sb900b lithium ion batteries?** A: Yes awesome charger **Q: Can you use rechargeable aa battery** A: No, this charger is specifically for the SBC200 batteries that fit into the Shure mics and in ear belt packs. I have 4 batteries, charging two while I use two that way I always have a battery available. They make AA battery chargers and you can use two AA batteries in the mics and in ear belt packs also **Q: Does this unit connect to the original power supply or do you need an extension or "Y" cable to power this charging base?** A: You can daisy chain the docks together. You must have an existing dock with the power cable and this screws into the side of the existing dock. No need for a y cable.
