Roxil Wood Protection Cream is recommended for use on softwood timber, including water susceptible species including (but not limited to) Douglas fir, Pine, Southern yellow pine, Paraná pine, Pitch pine, Cedar, Western red cedar, Larch, Fir, Spruce, Redwood, Scots pine, Ochroma, Eastern white pine, Monterey Pine, Yew, Hemlock, Cupressus nootkatensis, Sitka spruce, Siberian larch, Sweet chestnut, Lodgepole pine, Dalbergia melanoxylon, and Indian rosewood. To apply Roxil Wood Protection Cream, all coatings should be completely removed and, if necessary, grey or deteriorated wood should be sanded down to provide a clean and sound surface. Pre-treatment with a biocidal cleaner like Roxil 100 Wood & Patio Cleaner is advised for old and damaged wood. For increased biocidal protection against woodworm and rot, Roxil Wood Preserver is advised as a pre-treatment before Roxil Wood Protection Cream. This is particularly important for new and planed wood like tables, benches and decking, where mould and algae growth is most common. If coloured staining is required, try Roxil Coloured Wood Preserver. Apply the stain first and allow the fence to fully dry before applying Roxil Wood Protection Cream. Performance will vary depending on the type of stain used; always test a small area first to determine compatibility. Roxil Wood Protection Cream should be applied when the weather is mild and dry in the days before and after application in temperatures between 5 – 30 °C. Do not apply under 5°C. This wood protect goes on like lotion, looks like lotion, lotion for your fence and it is super easy to use with a brush or a cloth. I am confident this will give fantastic protection for my fence for a good couple of years. The one tin gave me enough to do about 4 panels, my fence panels are huge though and quite high too. Good value for money, will most certainly purchase this again when needed.

**Q: Hi can it be used on air drying euro oak entrance  gates ? will it uv go grey too? i would like to maintain the natural oak colour??   thanks simon**
A: Oak is naturally durable and should last more than 20 years without treatment. This product is likely to be most effective on less durable woods, like thinly sawn pine and spruce.

**Q: Can this be put on a shed after using silka wood preserver?**
A: I am not certain but I seem to recall the instructions refer to going on to clean, dry wood. It seems to need to soak in to provide a waxy layer. Try a patch and see how it goes?

**Q: Would this be good to use in new decking and keep the original colour**
A: We used this cream on a driveway gate which although had been treated before fitting has now reached an age where it needs more protection. It didn't affect the colour of the natural wood but decking might react differently, it certainly stops the rain from soaking in.

**Q: I have a mango table that I want to use and keep outside, will this weatherproof it please?**
A: So long as it is wood table and not stained/varnished I think the product will work on it, should make it more weather resistant.

I didn't want to stain my fence, all I wanted was to put a protection on for the wood and this fitted the bill perfectly. It keeps the colour of your fence and does not stain it, but does offer a good protection. This wood protect goes on like lotion, looks like lotion, lotion for your fence and it is super easy to use with a brush or a cloth. I am confident this will give fantastic protection for my fence for a good couple of years. The one tin gave me enough to do about 4 panels, my fence panels are huge though and quite high too. Good value for money, will most certainly purchase this again when needed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not like applying paint or varnish!

Very non-drip. Hard to see where you've applied it, as though white, it quickly dries clear. It leaves a soapy (but dry) sort of feel. I've used it to do a new hen hutch & run, & it was touch dry, (on a breezy warm day) in about 2 hours, except for accumulations in corners & around steel mesh. It was hard to apply to the inner crevices where the wire mesh was slotted between wood panels - ruined the brush stuffing it into the slots. May use a more runny paint or varnish for meshed ares in future. Advantages; the golden pre-treatment wood preservative colour it arrived with was preserved, (don't know for how long!) as the cream dries clear. It was non-messy to apply, except the mesh panels. Not strong-smelling, & pretty quick-drying, so I could turn the panels & do the other side same afternoon. It may be useful for reducing mite 'habitat' being a plasticky sort of finish, & long-lasting.
