## Description

Designed for BGA and QFP repair. 6 CC syringe for convenient dispensing during electronic repairs.TekLine TRF741 is a high-viscosity No-Clean paste flux developed for printed circuit board rework or repair. TRF741 is effective for prototype work where a small amount of flux is needed on a specific area of a board or assembly. The high viscosity flux stays in place until soldering occurs. Excellent performance in applications requiring a flux having good thermal stability such as surface mount component or repair. It is the ideal choice for QFP or BGA rework operations. It is also well suited for use with through-hole repair operations.Residues that remain after soldering are almost colorless, leaving a visually appealing repair. The residue is safe to be left on the assembly after soldering.

Review: This is good stuff - This is some of the best flux I've used. Makes solder flow through things that used to be a royal PITA. Note: it does seem to be more corrosive to iron tips than standard flux, but I was expecting that.
Review: Good for emitter swapping on flashlights - Works well for flashlights. That's all I use it for so I can't speak to how well it works for other things.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: hi again, would this be friendly-same with-to the kester 245 flux core ? thanks**
A: Hi I’m no expert at all but from my experience and for the purposes that I use it for yes it is very much like the 245 cored flux. To be honest this is one of if not my favorite flux all one needs is just a tiny amount and it wets up very good. It’s a great product.

**Q: Tekline trf741 or kester or am i confused about something? kind of new to soldering hope you can clear up my confusion. thanks**
A: Depends on what you are soldering. If it's simple point-to-point or through-hole, you probably won't need anything more than rosen-core solder (YMMV). If you're doing SMD, then a tacky flux is good.

My preferred tack flux is SRA's TF5000. As per the MSDS, it has less toxic chemicals in it than does Kester.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Follow-up After The Sale.
*by J***E on May 15, 2018*

I'm looking for a tacky flux that I can use with my desoldering gun on PCBs. Kester RF741 was recommended in one of the videos I watched, so I thought I'd start with it. Most people are selling 30cc tubes of it for approx $24, but I didn't want to spend that much on something I might not like. I then came across CML's repackaging of it in 6cc syringes with a dispenser tip. I like the convenience of a dispenser tip so I can precisely put the flux where I want it, instead of having to scoop some out of a 30cc tube with a Q-tip. *rolls eyes* I have two other fluxes ordered, and will compare the three to see which I like. Regardless, the reason I'm giving this product five stars is because of the follow-up by CML. They sent me an email after the sale, asking me to review it and if I had any problems to please reply to that email and "A REAL PERSON will respond to you as soon as possible." In this age of off-shored Customer Support, the fact that a vendor wants to insure I'm happy with the purchase is important to me. It's one of the criteria I use to determine who I'll buy from in the future. CML made a good first step with that email.
