**Q: can this be used in a vertical autoclave?**
A: While there "should" be no harm to the autoclave, and it should work (it is citric acid in powder form, doesn't hurt metal) the manufacturer of the autoclave should be consulted with in order to answer this properly.

**Q: Can this be used in a pressurized vertical Autoclave?**
A: Not if it is a Class B or pre/post vacuum autoclave.
